Every movement is calculated in real time until it aligns with the charger and snaps into place. The system uses an overhead camera with computer vision to track both the controller and the charging dock. Software continuously adjusts the controller's built in haptic actuators, creating tiny vibrations that propel and steer it across the surface until it reaches its destination. Created as the open source Auto Charge Vision Tracker project by Ray Foss, the demonstration highlights how haptic motors can be repurposed for controlled movement instead of just tactile feedback. It is a creative example of combining computer vision, precise software control, and existing hardware to give everyday devices autonomous capabilities. No copyright infringement intended.
