I remember when IGN got threats because they gave Cyberpunk 2077 a 7/10. they were one of the only outlets who were honest about the technical issues and didnt believe in the magical day 1 patch. Before that, everyone assumed CD Projekt Red was too good of a studio to put out a bad game

"Rockstar has only ever dropped great games" There was once a time when you could say that about Blizzard, about Bethesda, about Bioware and Insomniac and id and Bungie and countless other companies. Eventually, with enough employee turnover and corporate meddling, any company can drop off.

I’m saying that now GTA is gonna be a huge letdown not because they’re gonna somehow screwed it up. I think it’s a huge letdown because they’re not gonna change their very outdated formula and that’s why they haven’t shown any gameplay because it has an evolved at all over the last 10 years.

“Usually a red flag” you say, but that’s completely irrelevant in this case. Rockstar always waits until around 2 months before release before they release pure gameplay. This suggests nothing of the quality in this case. I don’t get the fuss, if you are so insistant in seeing gameplay before you buy the game, just wait. No one is stopping you.

Wanting gameplay before buying is reasonable. Just don’t buy it until they show enough to satisfy you. The game isn’t going anywhere. It’ll be there when you want it.

Lead writers Leslie Benzies and Dan Houser both left the company. Same with Lazlo, who was in charge of managing the music and radio Ads in the game. This game will not be the same.
