if somebody is constantly bringing it up, obviously whatever tf you did hurt them deeply. if you cant stand to hear the same bs over and over, just imagine how hard it is for that pain to consume their mind everyday. & yeah you took accountability but regardless the trauma is still there and accountability cant erase it .

no amount of accountability i take and apologizing i do will change what happened and it definitely won’t erase the hurt i’ve caused, but what am i supposed to do when i’m constantly being reminded of what i’ve done? no amount of guilt or shame i drown in will erase what happened either, but i’m not given an opportunity to prove that i’ve changed and not taken seriously or listened to when i try to find a way to atone for what i’ve done. am i just forever labeled as someone who does nothing but hurt?

i see both sides but what i don’t get is when you take accountability and they agree to move forward but the second something happens it’s brought up again .. it’s more then js the accountability from one person but the willingness to do better and restart from both people .

He apologized but my perception of him as a person changed. Something died in me that day and I could never see him the same no matter what he did. Betrayal changes you and I wish more people took that seriously.

If this is how you feel hearing about it imagine how it feels to carry the weight of it, bringing it up doesn’t mean the forgiveness isn’t there it means the hurt still is, it means that it made that much of an impact that it damaged the integrity of the relationship or connection, hear about it, listen about it, accountability and apologies are easy seeing the relationship in the same manner as before isn’t.
