My son’s original ACL quad graft just failed this week. 😭💔 He also had LET and now we are back to square 1 and looking at a revision. He was 9 months post op this week and still in rehab. I’m just wrecked for him, everything was going so well.

hey i’m 15 and just had my third knee surgery in the last 18 months. my original extensive repair failed but he biopsied cartilage to grow in case it failed (i know this is different than acl but i figured she’s similar age to me so share my experience) and then the second surgery he scoped it to try and smooth mh cartilage down after i had rehabbed for 9 months and almost was cleared but sidelined by pain. it failed 2 months later and i went threw a 6 months insurance process and just finally had my third reconstruction. in my opinion staged multi step surgeries often have very good results and for me i think it was 100% worth it as a high school athlete. it is more difficult and more time consuming but it will get you the best optimal result

Hi! PT here, I’ve also personally had 4 acl reconstructions and for my 4th surgery I had to undergo hardware removal prior because my 3rd acl tunnels were placed incorrectly and left me with an extension lag. 6 months for holes to close up then underwent repair. Best decision I made! She’s young she will go great in rehab 😊

She’s got this I had my left knee done 2 times I ripped off cartilage and was told I either quit my sport or have surgery and go to pt so I chose surgery pt but they had to go back in and all of that than I had my right knee done last week on wensday it was hard I had mpfl reconstruction ik people always say to hide the pain push through the pain but they don’t know the pain we face but my point is stay positive she can push through anything
