It’s not just you, the colour change is super visible on camera. Personally, I don’t think Ask & Embla is worth the price, especially since their items are plated alloy. Personally, I really want recs for stainless steel alt jewellery that doesn’t cost 40+ for a single ring. Flaire is one of my favourite brands for low-cost stainless steel jewellery, but they’re very much on the dainty/girly side. I need a Flaire but alt version !

the OG ones do look way better. I loved the way you broke it down on the differences cause to be honest I probably wouldn't have caught that backwards gem.

And I too am struggling to find gold toned alternative jewelry. BUT I really like all the animal skulls Fire and Bone has! I have their Sabertooth cat skull earrings in yellow bronze and they’re beautiful, but they have all kinds of skulls and claws/talons.
