ASL is offered at concerts/festivals because ➡️Hearing loss can vary! Even if someone is completely deaf, they could still see the band/visuals/ crowd and feel the vibrations, and some people are just hard of hearing but not completely deaf. It’s a spectrum! The interpreters are there to make sure everyone is included in having the best time of their lives 🤘

I remember when I was younger, seeing a movie called Mr. Hollands, opus about a conductor, composer, and band Director, who had a son that was born deaf, but still wanted to share his father‘s love of music and his dad created a concert where they had the deaf kids up close to feel the vibrations with lights and different other sensory signals to emphasize the music. And at the end, the father sang and signed the John Lennon song, beautiful boy to his son and I wanna see this at more concerts.👏👏
