@meganintheeast: 🇹🇲 I absolutely loved visiting this UNESCO World Heritage Site in Turkmenistan. 📍Old Nisa Situated only 17km from Ashgabat, you can easily spend half a day (or even a full day!) there. It dates back to the 3rd century BC and was one of the most important cities in the Parthian Empire. There is a small entrance fee (including a photography fee) that you can pay but it will likely be covered by your tour company if visiting the same way I did. This area is HOT.
