@therealsairahayati: The world of finance is quite mind-boggling so this may not be in its entirety completely factual however it's purpose is to spur conversation so we can understand the world of money and finance better. I urge anyone with this level of understanding to join the conversation and allow a mature and civilised debate to proceed. #money #pension #mortgage #Home
you pay your mortgage with your trust which is attached to birth certificate and traded and stock market, when you sign said mortgage you sign a promissory note, the bank gets their money straight away and you have to pay that back plus interest.

it's called Collateralization, not being mean but as a financial advisor how do you not know this..the banks don't hold on to the mortgage it's package given a grade by one of the rating agencies like Moodys or S&P and then sold to institutional Investors like pensions funds. that's how banks get their funding..fun fact back don't use our deposits to lend to their customers they hold it on their balance sheet as part of their cash reserve ratio which in most countries is 10% of the value of their loans book...hope that helps

it's irrelevant what happens to the money, most people don't have the means to buy a house outright...so they either rent at an outrageous price and pay someone else's mortgage....or get their own mortgage, it's just the way it is....get a mortgage pay over the monthly payment if you can and get it paid off early...then you can live a little

But I want to buy a house at 30, for say 500k. I don't have enough money for that. My pension fund isn't 500k.
Finance lets me buy that house when I need it, for my family, and pay it off over the years as I earn

Love your content. I’m fortunate enough not to have a mortgage on my home and own it outright. However, I can’t take it with me. I’m 55 now. The smart thing to do for me is to sell it, then rent somewhere and enjoy my money.

Worst still they money lent isn’t money, as in they took existing money and moved it your account, no it’s literally created as debt, when you sign.

In the states, you can pay cash for your home and still not own it. Taxes must be paid, at an increasing rate, yearly. If the taxes aren't paid the government will take your home. 😒
