Yes girl 👏as a kiwi living in Oz I say the same about the water here if it’s dirty an if I can see anything I won’t swim in it where as Aotearoa has safer an clearer water there than Oz not to mention we have rivers an lakes at home too that we can swim in too wayyy better than Oz 😁

Our underwater life is pretty epic here to so learn to dive or snorkel and teach the kids for when use come back, it’s absolutely stunning

You dont need to ocean in NZ plenty of fresh water holes and lakes here to swim in..lake Taupo is a prime spot!

Theres definitely sharks in NZ, but there are some very safe beaches. and your right the rate of attack is low, unlike Australian and I do love Aussie but everything wants a piece of you.
