It's not plagiarism for one reason. Most pictures are free to use, and nobody claims to own ANY of it besides the layout because they did make it. They put everything together regardless of where they got it. They do not claim to own the backgrounds. It's a problem when scripts are stolen because you are stealing words that someone else wrote and it obvious they wrote it and you change nothing or give no credit.

I’m sorry and correct me if I’m wrong but that’s not what plagiarism is. Plagiarism by definition is taking something as a whole that someone made and coping it entirely or straight up claiming it as your own. Taking different boarders, spites, decorations and other things and make something new with it and using a background to make something new isnt plagiarism and if that’s what you consider plagiarism then in that same sense photobashing would be considered plagiarism.

plagiarism is being used incorrectly here. plagiarism is characterized by the use of someone elses ideas, words, or intellectual property without proper credit and possibly labeling it as your own. also, most if not all of the sources ranters use are free for usage (without or without credit, but crediting is a good choice). so it really isn’t all that ridiculous to say that plagiarizing someone’s script is a wrong thing in the ranting community. that’s someone you don’t know taking your thoughts word for word and implementing them onto their board, and showing it off like it was theirs.
