Instead, I fill a 20 lb propane tank for about $16, then use this adapter to refill my 1 lb bottles. One tank fills roughly 20 bottles, which works out to less than $1 per bottle. If you use a camp stove, propane fire pit, lantern, or heater, this little adapter pays for itself almost immediately.
