To be fair the catheter irritates your urethra so it kinda feels like when you have a uti like you have to pee 24/7

when they complain of this often, i check to make sure to kind of “hand drain” it. i’ve have foley (especially lately??) not drain well. and i have gotten up to 600ml out!

I had a foley in for about 24 hrs during my stay at the hospital post surgery and I had the sensation that I needed to pee the entire time it was in there lol

I had this feeling and it turns out the night nurse never emptied the bag so my bladder was indeed full asf.

i had to pee so bad turns out it was bc the bag was too high so it wasn't emptying anything out, the relief I felt when they lowered it was amazing lmao

sometimes i think cause it’s not draining properly and i gotta help with gravity by pressing on the edge of the bed so the urine actually drains from the bladder, or at least that’s what i do and it helps in my experience. i work in peds tho, so it’s not a confusion thing lol

when i had this i told the nurses i had to use the bathroom but they said i had a catheter in. then i had to admit i had to poo😞
