@belovedcabin: A question we’re routinely asked is, “Should people be worried about the water they’re drinking… or what’s coming out of their tap?” … our answer? “Absolutely YES!” In fact, did you know the United Nations estimates nearly 80% of wastewater in many regions returns to the environment not properly treated? … it can pick up all sorts of nasty things along the way… ~ Agricultural runoff. ~ Industrial pollution. ~ Sewage. ~ Mining waste. ~ Naturally occurring contaminants like arsenic. ~ Saltwater intrusion such as the Florida aqua-filter. ~ And newer concerns such as heavy metals, PFAs and micro-plastics. After living off-grid for close to 15 years relying completely on harvested rainwater, we’ve learned something simple… Collecting water is only half the job. Making sure it’s clean matters just as much… is not more. That’s why we’ve spent years building out our rainwater filtration system. Our 5-stage filter system with both ROs and @boroux filters removes over 99.7% of any and all toxins, bacteria, chems, metals, nano-particles, sulfates, micro-plastics, PFAs, BPAs, heavy metals, microbes, toxins, and everything/anything else that could possibly be unsafe and unhealthy in water.👍👍🏽 Because of this, our filtered rainwater is safer, cleaner, and healthier than ANY public provided water source in the US 🇺🇸 We aren’t claiming our way is the best way to do it… but we believe everyone deserves access to clean, safe drinking water…no matter its source.
