i was prescribed gabapentin 600’s 3X a day 3 years ago for anxiety. ended up stocking up over 5 bottles of 90 accounts and I would take 6 grams at a time for a few months

I take 100mg gabapentin at night a couple times a week when I cant sleep, and I sleep so well with just that small dose.

I’ve really never understood people saying gabapentin give them a high. I’ve been on high doses of both pregabalin and gabapentin and never had that feeling? Pregabalin has been great for my neuropathic pain (especially now combined with clonidine, mirtazapine and venlafaxine - the 4 combined bring my pain level from a 9 to a 3)

I was prescribed it for neuropathy and didn't notice a change what so ever! took it for two months then tapered off of it

As a pharmacist I’d rather not deal the extra inventory requirements because gabapentin is something we regularly do LARGE quantities of. Our pdmp data has included it so we can see fill history for it and we treat it as a control already in terms of early fill requests and apparent overuse.
