@forgottenpawsfamily: 🚨 URGENT 911 – THIS IS NOT OKAY 🚨 We received an urgent call for help from a shelter after an owner surrendered a tiny puppy in unimaginable condition. What we saw is something you cannot unsee. This dog is suffering from severe facial trauma, including multiple fractures and an eye so badly damaged it has ruptured within the orbital cavity. With every breath he takes, you can hear air crackling beneath his skin, a sign of significant internal injury. And we are being told this was caused by “another dog.” No. We are not accepting that explanation. These injuries are not consistent with a simple dog altercation and even if another animal was involved, where was the intervention? Where was the urgency? Where was the humanity while this tiny puppy suffered? Because here’s what else we know: He is emaciated. These injuries are not all fresh. This means he has been suffering, prolonged, untreated, and ignored. There is no excuse for this level of neglect and trauma. None. We took one look at him and knew there was no time to waste. He was rushed immediately to a critical care hospital, where he is now fighting for his life. An active investigation is already underway with animal control and law enforcement. We need our community now more than ever. Please help us save his life. It can’t end this way.
