@tahalikesyou: important reminder as we have Pride Parades tomorrow. ❤️ protesting against inaction is exactly how Pride started, so when we see people interrupting floats and things (and I know it can suck, people work hard on this programming) we should think before getting angry. ask yourself: if Pride is returning to its roots of protest in this moment, what does that mean? why is that bad? why is our community hurting? would the folks who started Pride choose keeping the protest, or would they choose keeping the float that would be interrupted? shout out to @TikTok Canada and On The Couch for having me (and the other lovely creators in the episode) on for this special Pride episode ❤️ (also the bit about them trying to distract us from the fact that we can’t afford groceries is something i picked up from the brilliant @Walter Masterson !!)
