@atxgymbats: The elites don’t fear metal because it’s angry. They fear what happens when men’s anger is given a moral purpose. The best metal ever made was about corruption, tyranny, censorship, war, greed, hypocrisy, and the abuse of power. And it doesn’t just make you feel rage—it directs that rage towards injustice and evil. Healthy anger isn’t the opposite of virtue. It’s the refusal to accept evil as normal. Every great reformer, prophet, and warrior throughout history possessed righteous anger against what was wrong. Too much modern music turns anger inward until it becomes anxiety, victimhood, or self-obsession. Classic metal turned anger outward. It challenged systems, questioned authority, and demanded courage. Men don’t need to become less angry. They need to become angry at the right things—and disciplined enough to transform that anger into strength, justice, and action. That is why metal disappeared from mainstream American culture in the late 90s… the last thing they want is a population of strong men who have righteous anger towards injustice, corruption and evil. #metal #sepultura #politics #christianity #90s

Mathew Rice :
No one could compete with Sepultura in the 90s. I think they were better than Pantera.

Did I miss something? You meant to say “the reason you stopped listening to it in the late 90s”

People talk about how Rap was usurped by corporations and used to push corporate agendas but dont talk about how that has happened across every genre of music.

If they hadn’t of split ways they would be so much bigger than they both ended up. Pantera and sepultura was the biggest bands in the 90s.

The reason is that, without changing the band’s name, Metallica created a new movement for the pop masses: Pepsicallica

For those saying metal isn’t supposed to be mainstream. Metal needs mainstream bands to introduce new listeners

what are ppl saying sepultura isnt better than pantera, the "Arise" album alone beats every pantera album, beneath the remains is also fabolous, and then they became extremely groovy with chaos ad. the ABC albums may be one of the best three albums released back to back to back of all time, pantera doesnt compete with them in the slightest
