Your HYROX progress doesn't come from the session. It comes from how you recover after it 👇 Here is the one rule. Your body can't tell a hard HYROX session apart from a long day at work, a short night, or a stressful week. It doesn't count your training. It counts your total stress. That is the whole thing. Everything that stresses you adds into one number, and your body only ever sees that total. So your body only gets fitter when your recovery is bigger than that number. Not during the session. After it. The session breaks you down. The repair happens while you rest. If your total stress stays higher than your recovery, your body never finishes that repair, and the training stops making you faster. You can feel it when this happens. The same training feels harder. Your race pace stops improving. Your resting heart rate goes up. You want to train less. The same small injuries keep coming back. It feels like you need more training. Most of the time you need more recovery. The fix is not doing less. It is making your recovery match your total stress. 😴 Sleep helps the most. 7 to 9 hours, same bedtime, same wake time. Short nights make your legs slower and your focus worse the next day. Your body does most of its repair while you sleep. 🍝 Most athletes eat too little, not train too much. Carbohydrates refill the energy your muscles burn on the runs and stations. Protein repairs them. Eat enough on training days, not just on rest days. 🚶 Keep easy days easy. An easy run done at race effort adds stress instead of helping you recover. Easy means slow enough to talk in full sentences. 📉 When life gets more stressful, train a bit less. The same session leaves you less room to recover. Match your training to the week you are actually having. When your recovery matches your total stress, you can keep training hard for weeks. When it doesn't, you keep having to stop and catch up.
