At intake, he was described as fearful with tense body language and required use of safety equipment for safe handling. It was reported that he bit a child prior to arrival resulting in a minor scratch. Due to this history and initial handling concerns, he has been flagged for caution and requires continued monitoring. In the shelter, Fitzpatrick has shown improved behavior with consistent handling. He allows leashing, handling, and medical procedures, and has been described as social with people, approaching with loose body language and seeking interaction.
