I think it might have been a spirit talking through her grandmother and was there to offer comfort. That spirit must have used her grandmother as a portal. Just my thought 🤔

New Orleans has such a long rooted history. Sounds like her ancestors must've had servants. It's seems one came through her Grandma. Her Grandma probably favored her as a child. It was probably the woman who cared for her.

I feel like a spirit from the past may be upset and possibly confused. The family dynamic and vibe was probably confusing to the spirit. I feel like the spirit may be thinking she's experiencing something from the past. Feels like the spirit may be angry at the woman of the house and trying to comfort the child she cared for (even if it is not really the same people). Either that or a spirit does know her Grandma specifically and is mad at her specifically.

Oh wow! I've lived in Louisiana my entire life and I never knew "mammy" meant that! I had several friends growing up who called their own grandmother "mammy" I just assumed it was another name for Grandma. Hopefully you find answers🙏
