I am far from a perfect parent and no I did not keep my eyes on my kids 24/7. That being said, certain activities required direct supervision - bounce houses, trampolines, pools (even wading pools) etc.

Listen I only have 1 kid and he’s just over 3, he free roams. 🤣 people spend way too much time judging.

Oh good grief! I honestly don’t understand why people are baffled by the fact that parents can’t directly supervise their children 100% of the time. Even if you could, they still can get hurt. Like, two of my boys have broken their arms right next to me as I am in the middle of stopping them from jumping on the sofa or standing on the chair. I watched those events happen in slow motion. It was horrible! I tried so hard to catch them! I wasn’t letting them play with dangerous things, they were on every day furniture, I was right there, and I was supervising them. Those events were freak accidents. Those events happened 6 1/2 and years apart, I tried. Geez. I am feeling defensive for you, me, and all the good parents.
