So the defender to the top is now essentially the last person in the spot the goal keeper should be. So he is now the last man and not the goalkeeper. Off side in not measure on the last man but the second to last man.

He never did got a direct pass and was not hanging around the goal. He had a deflection and scored on the deflection. Should have never been an offside call.

but the player didn't pass but shot to goal, it bounced off defender and that player made goal on the mistake. this is not offside, this is corruption.
