Here is some interesting trivia about "Rock and Roll": Born from a jam: The song came together in just 15 minutes at Headley Grange when John Bonham got frustrated trying to finish the track "Four Sticks." He played the drum intro to Little Richard's "Keep A-Knockin'," Jimmy Page threw in a riff, and they captured the core of the track right there.// The "Three Trek" connection: The Rolling Stones' mobile studio was being used to record Led Zeppelin IV, and their road manager/pianist Ian Stewart (often called the "Sixth Stone") played the driving boogie-woogie piano on the track.// Commercial breakthrough: In 2002, Cadillac used the song for a major ad campaign. It was a massive deal at the time, marking the first time Led Zeppelin allowed one of their songs to be used in a commercial.
