i don't like Mavuika's design for the same reason, i also don't like how they gave Sandrone a short skirt. it doesn't match her character at all, since she is way more on the elegant long dress side, and that for YEARS already.. I also love the new cast, but i hopped for more covered characters because snezhnaya is suppsoed to be the coldest place in whole teyvat, all men are covered but all woman not, yk what i mean? it isn't that bad on Tsaritsa, she gives Elsa vibes with it, but the rest? i hope u understand what i mean

idk abt the nudity. I just want more skins that fit the characters. I like fanservice, but sometimes when its the only thing behind making a character it clearly shows.

The only thing that ever bothered me is that they shortened Sandrones skirt which already had a good and amazing model. It was unnecessary and it feels like her originality got taken away

It’s annoying when it’s out of context because it’s clearly for fanservice and exploiting female characters for profit. For example, Odette and tsarista are completely fine despite living in a cold climate as they are characters that will likely spend a lot of their time indoors + have actual historical inspiration behind their designs. However, with characters like vesna…it’s completely uncalled for. They covered her appropriately for someone who would clearly be outdoors a lot and yet decided to somehow still show off her bare legs and give her a boob window. The same applies for Danica and Vodyanista. Childe once said that if you stayed outside long enough in Snezhnaya, you’d freeze to death…so it’s completely unfathomable why female characters would have random boob, hip and thigh windows in their design, especially when all the male characters are covered from head to toe for that exact reason. It’s not a problem to call out sexualisation and bad design. It’s not about purity, it’s about dressing appropriately for the climate and context these characters are in.

I cannot roll my eyes back enough. This isn’t about showing skin, this is about LACK of diversity, creativity and immersion in the designs. Y’all are defending a BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY like is isn’t copy pasting the same format design on 90% of the female characters. Genshin community can’t use their brains even if you paid them.

I feel like the original argument for ppl not wanting woman to show more skin has been lost and turned to misogyny no cuz wdym “she looks like wh*re” and she js has a short skirt… the original argument was how only giving female characters sexualized designs is misogynistic and objectifies woman which is a valid criticism
