@white.guy.in.japan: Yokai inspire much of Japan's media and culture, and their stories are all around Japan if you know where to look. Yokai themselves are less known for their history, but you have likely seen them through their major inspiration for Japanese horror and, more recently, in anime like Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Yomi no Tsugai! The Yokai immersive experience where I filmed this was a great opportunity to learn about them, but it only runs until the end of June. Luckily, it was actually put on, in part, with the Shodoshima Yokai Museum I mentioned at the end of the video, so if you ever are around the Setouchi Coast or go to Shikoku, I would for sure give it a visit! also, you should check out Sakai Minato in Tottori prefecture. The town, the birthplace of a famous Manga artist who used yokai in his comics, is entirely devoted to yokai.

Oh please, that entire concept was original from Tang Dynasty and earlier! They literally studied and took it back to Japan. it's a well documented history, stop rebranding Chinese culture into Japanese if you can't conduct a deep factual research based on facts and not Ai.
