I recently found out that my 5 week old won’t wake up after being transferred if I keep a hand on his head and a hand on his stomach for like 30 seconds after laying him down!!

Swaddle, move slower when pulling your hands out and keep your hand on his belly for a min after putting him down. Hope that helps 😭

It really surprised me the amount of times I admit in a day that I’m scared of my newborn 😂

I literally set mine down but leave him completely in my embrace and hold him like that with my body at a 90 degree angle and breathe deeply on him for like 1 minute, then slllooowwwly wiggle my arms out 😅 it’s legit a science project trying to keep them babes content. Good job mom and dad! Practice makes perfect 💪

When you transfer, place your hand on his chest for 30-60 seconds then slowly move it away. Has been the biggest lifesaver for us!

In the hospital they use weighted gloves but I’m sure a weighted eye mask would do the trick as well

Hand on head, hand on back. You want least amount of content to easily slide out lol

If you don’t have baby swaddled, hold the hands together so their startle reflex doesn’t wake him up. My baby always wakes herself up with that lol

I found transfer to be easier when he’s really tired and I HAVE to do it just as he’s fallen asleep so he’s still in that sleepy phase. If I hold onto him for too long, he’s recharged and wakes up 😂

Just let him…Best advice “this will end, enjoy it”. Seems trying, but YOU will; never experience this again. Relax, they know/feel it too. So beautiful.💕💕💕. more relaxed, more they are. My babies were sleeping 7-9hrs at 2-3 months. Guiding them and sleeping.💕

you moved too abruptly i think. my little guy also wakes on transfers unless swaddled. i read somewhere around 8 minutes of sleep is the golden time to transfer and so far that has worked for us
