never forgetting that hitomi would've canonically seen right through kyubey. she was from a wealthy family with strict but loving parents that had her enrolled in extracurricular programs and was emotionally mature enough to have a tough conversation with sayaka, it makes sense why kyubey avoided hitomi like the plague.

homuras lack of parental presence is the most shocking because she literally starts off every rewind in the hospital and its been established that shes pretty weak physically at such a young age. I really wonder if they were visiting her or if she was even going home after school

I don’t think madoka’s mom can be blamed, I mean obviously she doesn’t think that Madoka’s dilemma with her friend was a life threatening situation about selling your soul to a cat from another universe. She told her to do what she feels is right because 1.) they make it very clear there is a very trusting bond between Madoka and her mom, and 2.) she must have thought it was a mundane situation

i think a main issue is that the parents can’t see Kyubey, so unless if they talked to their parents and put it into words like Madoka did when she talked to her mother. (She didn’t really mention kyubey and rather acted like it was a normal casual issue.) they would have been viewed as maybe kinda crazy?
