@ilani.music: Kyrie eleison — a plea for mercy that has transcended centuries. This movement, taken from the beloved Missa De Angelis, is one of the most recognisable and cherished pieces of the Gregorian repertoire. Historically, the Missa De Angelis was primarily reserved for major solemnities and feast days—particularly those honouring the angels and saints. Its uplifting and ornate melody made it a firm favourite for the most significant moments of the liturgical year, serving to elevate the atmosphere of the church during the highest celebrations of the faith. #KyrieEleison #MissaDeAngelis #SacredMusic #GregorianChant #MeditationMusic
