Just went through the same thing. We’re on day 10 of the NICU. We left the hospital and went straight to the children’s hospital where she is. Leaving the hospital without her was so hard.

The two hardest days of my life were the days I left the hospital with my babies still in the NICU. My doctor gave me the best advice though. He told me that I couldn’t forget to focus on my own healing and that while I would much rather have my baby with me at home, because she was in the NICU being cared for I had an advantage other moms didn’t. It was a small piece of advice that really helped me shift my focus and start seeing all the positives of the NICU. It wasn’t what I wanted, but he helped me see look for the good in the very stressful situation. My NICU babies are now 16 and 20! ❤️

They let you leave 1 day after your C-section? 😳 It was a mandatory 3 - 4 day stay after all of mine and I had 4 C-Sections
