@shedeservescare: When we first got salt we actually use to to the shedding higher but that meant he could access the bars at the top of the cage so we had to lower it. Pepper did actually love her underground tunnels so we still left a few under there and also gave one to salt to see if he likes it. I don’t know where you live but if you want a larger set up try getting a large rabbit cage as there is plenty of room and depth for the shedding as even though the are way to small for even small rabbits they are often 1m by 50cm.

I ended up with 2 hamsters I ended up giving my Russian dwarf hamster a Syrian hamster cage and I gave my Syrian hamsters a bigger like gerbil cage

hey! your care for your hamsters is a lot better than the hamster care pet shops provide, but unfortunately the enclosures you currently have aren't deep enough to accommodate a hamsters natural instinct to burrow and dig, and depth can be more important than the actual length on an enclosure as hamsters need a minimum of 40cm of bedding. i'm local also, and the pet shop shown in your video have fish tanks that are (surprisingly) more accommodating than the enclosures they offer for hamsters 😅 for my hamster, i have a 48x18x12 clearseal glass tank that i bought instore, and the measurements are actually a bit more than what a syrian hamster needs. it was a bit pricey, unfortunately, because i got the glass version, but i do know that QuidsIn and facebook will have the same size tanks pop up for way cheaper ❤️❤️
