Some teachers will say that everybody can float, but that's not true! Some people - although very, very rare - do actually sink, - even when holding a full breath. (It's called being negatively buoyant). I made this video to demonstrate, that even if that's the case, EVERYBODY can still learn to swim safely, and in a calm and relaxed way, - when you learn the RIGHT methods and skills. Learning Front crawl / freestyle in isolation (as is so common for adult beginners) actually will not help anyone to feel safe, comfortable or relaxed in deep water!! 🚨 DISCLAIMER: Do not replicate this, that would just be silly, and could be very dangerous. I'm only doing it to demonstrate an important swimming and water safety principle. In addition I'm a qualified AIDA4 freediver (trained in apnea/holding of the breath) and had a lifeguard supervising me 1:1 AT ALL TIMES :) I make it look much easier than it would be for most people! Only swim within your ability, and never swim alone!
