Outer wilds is like the most beautiful horror game I ever played. I am so afraid of space and the game gave me constant anxiety. but man was it so fugging good, I beat the game and the DLC and what a ride it was learning about the traveller

I played the game to completion. It was good. My only real complaint is how this game is either the best thing ever fucking made, or it’s just alright. I’m unfortunately on the “it’s alright” side. I didn’t experience the eureka moment where my soul transcends reality like everyone claims this game will do. It did make me want to try more puzzle games, so thats nice. On a side note, I think the real issue here is how people describe the game when recommending it. Y’all will recommend it to someone and tell them how it’s so good that it will change their life and make them regret not playing it the moment they left the womb. All that does is make the persons expectations go through the roof, which makes any subsequent issues they may have with the game become inflated disappointments rather than minor complaints. That may not happen to everyone, especially if they are a major explorer type (in that case it’s basically one use crack).

The way I saw this Tik Tok. Bought the game on sale. Hated it and returned it. Literally the only challenge are its janky flight mechanics. Whether you’re flying a ship or in a Jet pack. And this game just smacks Acoustic music on and expected me to feel oh so thought provoked. Idk. I gave it an hour, not for me.
