@veronica.smith244: You live and you learn, I lied to myself because of what I have been through. I didn’t want a relationship, I wasn’t ready, I didn’t believe in love because I haven’t been shown the love I give. So having a “booty call” to fulfill my needs sounded like a good idea, I set boundaries for myself and I couldn’t uphold them. Sex has never been just sex, that’s why I haven’t slept with many people, sex is meant to mean something, to connect with the other person in such a intimate vulnerable setting. You guys see what I allow you to see, but you don’t see the lonely me, the vulnerable me that just wants to be loved correctly! Everyone says to stay single, heal, etc but those same people have a partner, someone to lean on when they are drained. I am very proud of the woman I have become, I learned how to be independent with my first husband because I was a military spouse, I work my ass off and pay my own bills. That still doesn’t fill the void in one’s heart that is missing the other piece. That other piece is out there and I pray one day he finds his way to me and completes the big heart that I have so much to offer them! One day, one day at a time!
