The taxes thing never makes sense to me. I would be more than haopy to pay more in taxes if it was actually going to things that help everyone. They think that anyone who wants "free healthcare" thinks that it's ACTUALLY free. We don't, we're just fine paying what it would cost

You know what? Yeah, you can think whatever about adults (I still believe stuff like UBI should be a given) but kids should actually have free access to everything they need (health, housing, education, transportation, etc)

I mean even if they only think economics are all that matter, increasing quality of life and upward mobility for others helps everyone and the economy. Same with ensuring the freedom of individuals to choose for themselves in their own life

The sales tax where I live is almost 10%. I already have to deal with my taxes. who cares if they raise it a little bit more and then I don't have to lie about my health so that I don't have to pay for healthcare that I can't afford? along with that, we need to get rid of insurance we need to have universal healthcare, and we need to not not let it continue to be this Monopoly where insurance gets a huge amount of our money and then does basically nothing to help many people out
