Geologist here- this is asbestos. All the white color at minimum. Be safe and I wouldn’t recommend going here without safety precautions.

It’s in Valley, Washington not Chewelah! Great place to visit though with lots of easy pickings, or you can dig in the rock wall and put in the work for some big chunks!
