While I agree there should be NO fireworks in utah this year. I think the ones that are going off professionals who have safety standards that include nearby fire departments. If they are going to be done. That is the only way it should be done. By professionals with the local fire departments approval.

Utah is on a temporary ban "blanket personal ban" and even then they're allowed in designated areas like Spanish Fork, South Weber, Clearfield, Layton, and parts of Farmington.

you can call that in to the non-emergency line of your police department, they are supposed to send someone out to tell people to stop lighting them off or hand out citations when necessary

People here in Utah think they are so above the law they ignore all the cautions. The fires just sparked up by me. Couple houses down by a firework a few minutes ago. He reached the power pole and we are out of power now.

Fireworks were not banned. Please read what Cox did. He gave municipalities tge ability to enforce restrictions. But because everyone just watches the news and reads news sites that are calling it a ban for clickbait people run with it.

Cities and towns have a zone for fireworks where it is fine to set them off.

I'll admit, I'm the neighbor who reports it. My yard isn't catching fire for the 4th year in a row because someone decides my cul-de-sac is "perfect" for their fireworks.
