Alpha (2018) Movie plot and spoiler Set in Ice Age Europe around 20,000 years ago, Alpha follows Keda, a young hunter who is badly injured and presumed dead after falling from a cliff during a bison hunt. Left alone in the wilderness with a broken leg, he must learn to survive. After defending himself from a wolf pack, Keda spares the life of an injured wolf instead of killing it. He nurses the animal back to health, names it Alpha, and the two form an unlikely friendship. Together they face hunger, freezing conditions, dangerous predators, and a long journey across the wilderness. Keda eventually returns home with Alpha, astonishing his tribe. In the final twist, Alpha is revealed to be female when she gives birth to pups. The tribe welcomes them, symbolising the beginning of the bond between humans and wolves—the origin of the domestic dog.
