The only way the filter gets damaged like that is when somebody puts it in backwards, I’ve dealt with this many times as a Honda mechanic the bike needs a top end

The spring in there is a one-way ball valve that oil is only supposed to go one way through that and then if it can't get oil the ball valve moves out of the way and gives it oil anyways so probably starved it for oil make it have a noise it's bad not good

Had this happen on a Honda caused the rod to be loose on the crank had to replace the crank and top end fortunately it’s a Honda mostly cheap af

the oil filter seal looks like its just stuck to the back side of the filter. the filter is stamped right. the filter was definitely in backwards

honda are really bad about this the way the the filter is made if installed incorrectly it will starve the engine of oil especially the top end

my cuzzy swapped a leather lounge for a motorcycle and it siezed, when he pulled the oil filter off it had been put on backwards all fixed

filter was backwards, top ends starved of ol probably fked the intake cam and head bearing... I hate to admit it but I've done this before. had to replace the head and intake cam shaft (gaskets and seals) but after 500 in parts the bikes still runs to this day

Pull the clutch in and see if the noise gets quieter, the clutch baskets wear out and make a noise similar to that.

values need adjustment and I think its the wrong filter thats for honda atv what i need is a dirt bike filter

Put it in as the filter suggests I did the same thing and destroyed the engine. Scored, the rings, had to rebuild.
