Hey so, Spectrum technician here. That’s not how that works. Just buying a new Ethernet cable won’t instantly get you better speeds. You are limited to the speeds of the cables that are already ran in your home walls, and the speeds your internet provider provides. If you are already getting the speeds you should from your provider, don’t waste your time.

Keep in mind your internet service provider ( ISP ) has to output this speeds to your router/modem. If you dont pay for these speeds you wont get these speeds with this wire no matter what.

Just get cat 6a it has more range and cheaper… or spf fiber essesntialy no limit+ u only get that speed if u pay for it and ur infrastructure like cable or fiber is supporting or also ur home walls probably use cat5e and cat8 doesn’t have range for whole house so yeah fyi

Truvista guy here this is so fake don’t fall for it. Ur download will and should always be higher then upload unless ur on symmetrical fiber and even then its same on each side

Most NORMAL Ethernet ports only support 1gbps-2.5gbps-5gbps. And at most 10Gbps. Cat 8 WILL NOT give you better ping. And most of the time you won’t even be able to use the full capabilities of a cat 8 cable due to most devices any normal day to day human uses only support at most up to 10Gbps which cat 6 does just fine. Not to mention you would need a router that also actually outputs that speed to the Ethernet jacks.. this is just a waste of money.
