Here's another one of my Project Hail Mary drawings! Stained glass pieces are my absolute favorite to draw!! It's not 100% compatible with how actual stained glass works, there's a few unconnected lines and a bunch of other parts that would be nearly *impossible* to cut out of glass, but I try to keep it as close to possible as. . . well, possible😅. (It would probably be more accurate to call it a mosaic style, but I still like the idea of it being stained glass😊). I put in 20+ nods/easter eggs to the story in the design. The last panel is a rough outline of all of the one's I could remember. Tell me which ones you spotted! I used various things like Eridian numbers and Roman numerals for some filler spots in the panels (the roman numerals represent the speed of light mi/sec. and are an homage to him being a teacher). There are also 22 stars by the Blip A and 2 stars by the Hail mary ship to represent the lost crew members, (also a nod to the dying stars), while the last stars are above Grace and Rocky as the remaining crew. The two chains are a nod to the chain Rocky made, but they also are a nod to the 2 rings of 8, aka O2, that Rocky gives Grace, (there are 8 big links on the 2 chains). The rainbow also pays homage to Grace's memories, (with the added biblical symbolism of kept promises for the Hail Mary aspect), and roughly leads from Earth to Erid. 🌎❤️ Those are just a few examples of the details I managed to fit in this peice 😅. I also added Rocky's pov version of the stained glass just for fun!
