This is an issue I notice among both the younger generation and older adults in our community. Very poor body language is often seen in some adult men in our community, and it can send the wrong message in public settings. I’m not specifically attacking the two “ኣሕዋተይ” in the video—this is a broader issue that affects the community as a whole. We should aim to represent ourselves with confidence and composure. Behaviors like constantly touching your hair, avoiding eye contact, looking down, or moving excessively while speaking to someone can unintentionally signal nervousness, lack of confidence, or discomfort. In social perception, these patterns are often read as low self-assurance, even if that is not the intention. The goal is not perfection, but awareness. Standing steady, maintaining appropriate eye contact, and keeping controlled movements can help project confidence, respect, and self-control in any environment. Much love to you all✌🏾
