The reason this show resonated with a lot of people is because we didn’t watched it for superman. We watched this show because of the growth of Clark Kent into becoming the hero he is always meant to be. Clark is just like the rest of us. He makes mistakes and sometimes mess up. That is what makes him a human. The lessons that the Kents taught him inspired the hero inside of him. Throughout the show, he always has this conflict inside of him whether he is supposed to be Clark Kent or to be Kal El. The truth is, accepting both is what makes him superman. Just like in real life, accepting our past and writing our own path is what will let us move forward and not dwell at our mistakes. Smallville thought us that no matter what happened in the past, it is our choices that will set up our own path and create our destiny. ❤️💙

I’ve noticed things like this but the real reason I watch smallville is because it brings me joy and I love seeing all the happy couples many died and some didn’t have happy endings but js seeing Clark grow into Superman as he struggles to realize what he’s doing wrong while having people to guide him along the way and show him the righteous path aswell as having many many people in his life that build his character including Lana, reminding him that Clark Kent never weavers that Superman can save both the people he loves and the world I love it the show is just perfect it’s a mixture of goodness and an story written to well I can’t get bored of it watched it 3 times over and ive never ever once decided it’s time to watch something new I love smallville

Smallville is literally my everything. Not only the lessons you described in the video, but the way there’s sooo many more. For example in season 10, especially in the Brainiac episode. The lesson learned was, you must let go of past regrets and stop fearing for the future to become the person you’re ‘destined’ to be. Throughout the entire seasons constant themes like: stop obsessing over the past and learn to embrace the future, instead of also being burdened by the possible responsibilities that come with it. There’s so many other lessons in this season alone.

Even when Pete left, he warned him again; Clark was naive. Pete was Clark's true friend—he was always trying to warn him about things, but Clark never listened.
