he's so gentle with her i'm so ill. i've said this under every post of them, but you compare how he is with food to how he is with her and it's evident this was never about food. he's so graceful with her. the bear was truly the most unique love story i've ever witnessed, whether you believe it to be platonic or romantic, all carmys rage from mikey pivoted right into love for syd.

luca once said when he met carmy, it felt like a competition for him bc he thought he was the best, but there was actually someone else (carm) who was much, much better. and when he realized that and began to simply keep up with the best rather than being the best, something was lifted up from him. he felt free. he was. and this reflects both on carm and syd. carm was always told that he was the most excellent cdc and all that, but he saw in syd that there is also someone else who could be good and much better than him. syd hadn’t realized that; carm believed in her. that’s the beauty of their partnership. it was about believing in the potentiality of everyone’s capabilities.
