@fokumlah1: Can an African be a foreigner in another African country? Legally, yes. But that does not make them less African. The real conversation is how we respect borders today while building the Africa we want tomorrow. 🌍 #africa #africanunity #Migration #southafrica #panafricanism @𝐊el 𝐎fficial @Echoes Of Wisdom @Anti-imperialist 🇬🇲 @Sènatòr MENSAH @Obed @Black Orange 🍊 M.P🇿🇦 @Francis @Manie Rupert @Frances Cordoms @AFRICA BOYY A.I EMPIRE @PanAfricPulse @PAN AFRICAN YOUTHS MOVEMENT

Whether colonial borders or not, Africa has always had borders and those from other kingdoms or clans are always called foreigners or visitors depending on the distance they're coming. However, like you mentioned, we all know where the rejection of "foreigner" is coming from. But one thing is this, we must move away from these small things quickly and start respecting the rules of engagement. Electricity, schools, hospitals, good roads, parks, sport centers, security, respect, dignity, honor, all these things have rules of engagement. 2026 we Africans are still fighting over who comes to your country, who stays too long, all these things just beam the searchlight to how we actually were in the past, if up til today africans are still confused about ownership of space then when are wr going to get to the point of electing a foreigner to serve in the parliament like the Americans and Europeans do and yet we claim were more civilised than them. Africans count ZYXWVUTS instead of STUVWXYZ.

Very true, this is the exact conversation we need to be having. Colonial borders are a reality, but regional integration (like the AfCFTA and AU passport initiatives) proves we can move toward freer borders without compromising national security. Sovereignty and unity can coexist if the policy is right!

We can achieve free movement, Ghana 🇬🇭 has already made it easier for Africans to enter their country, when I relocated from Nigeria to Ghana last year I came without a single document.

You've made a very clear and valid distinction. Your perspective prompted me to take a deeper look at the issue, and it genuinely changed how I see it. Being African is a shared identity, but citizenship is a legal status. Too many people confuse culture with law. We can share history, languages, and ancestry, yet still be foreigners under international law. Calling someone a foreigner isn't automatically an insult; it reflects the legal framework of sovereign states. Real African unity isn't about pretending borders don't exist; it's about making movement easier while respecting the sovereignty, laws, and security of every African nation. Thanks for the good job as always 👏 🥰🥰🥰
