Video of the fight from a subscriber. WTF Taekwondo (World Taekwondo Federation) is a modern Korean martial art and Olympic combat sport. Founded in 1973, the organization governed international taekwondo competitions and promoted the sport worldwide. In 2017, the name was changed from WTF to World Taekwondo (WT), but the style and rules remained largely the same. WTF Taekwondo emphasizes fast, powerful kicking techniques, agility, speed, flexibility, and strategic movement. Common techniques include roundhouse kicks, spinning kicks, side kicks, and axe kicks. Hand strikes are allowed but are used less frequently than kicks because kicks score more points in competition. Athletes compete in a square ring while wearing protective equipment such as headgear, chest protectors, shin guards, forearm guards, gloves, and mouthguards. Modern competitions use electronic scoring systems that register valid impacts. Points are awarded for accurate kicks and punches to legal target areas, with additional points for spinning and more difficult techniques. WTF Taekwondo became an official Olympic sport at the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics and is now practiced by millions of people in more than 200 countries. Besides competition, practitioners train in forms (poomsae), self-defense, sparring, discipline, respect, and physical fitness. The martial art combines traditional Korean values with modern sport competition, making it one of the most popular martial arts in the world. #taekwondo #тхэквондо #martialarts #единоборства #combat
