fat cat loaf :
@@: @:" "copy this":more like reverse exponentiation of the base part(a in aᵇ)
if xⁿ=b,ⁿ√b=x
example:8⁴=4096, ⁴√4096=8
if xⁿ=b,logₓ(b) =n (x>0, yk, same condition as roots)
example:2³=8,log₂(8)=3
another way to think about it
x/y just asks "y•n=x" then n is the answer
"logₓ(y)" asks:"xⁿ=y"then n is the answer
2³=8,log₂(8)=3,cuz 2³=8
another way to understand it,more ennificient but yk just cool
6/2=3
It also asks "how much times can you subtract 2 by 6 before reaching 0"
6-2=4
4-2=2
2-2=0
you did it 3 times
for logarithms,you do the same thing but divide.
log₆(1296) asks "how much times can you divide 36 by 6 before you reach one" (not 0,stop at 1.)
1296/6=216
216/6=36
36/6=6
6/6=1
you divided 𝟰 times
6⁴=1296,log₆(1296)=4
roots but it's not the exponent,it's the base.
(note:if you see log(x) without any base,it's automatically a base 10 log, an ln(x) is a base e logarithm)
