I grew up without air conditioner in America. I think I could live without it, some stores where I live don’t have it, but heat like this is bad for your health. Bad for your heart. Certainly they should have it in hospitals :l

I'm in the southern US and AC is crucial not even just for physical comfort but for preventing mold growth. It's so humid that without it everything inside is damp. My AC broke for a week two summers ago and the inside of the cabinet under the sink began growing mildew within three days.

I have a very expensive one room AC unit stored in the master bedroom closet, because a few years ago, we had AC go out and it was 95 degrees outside. Within 10 minutes of losing power my husband was at the store blowing money on that unit. And he’d do it again. It perfectly cools the master bedroom which is large enough for us and the dog to lounge in cool comfort.

I live in South Carolina & we have 4 window units🤣 ain’t no way I’m gonna be suffering the entire 100+ degrees during our summer. I hate the electric bill but 🤷🏼♀️
