Incorrect. If LH, SHBG or FREE T are out of range an Endocrinology doctor can put down the proper codes and properly treat you with TRT. I am going fine on two shots of T a week. Also if your SHBG is way elevated a decent Endo will order a thyroid panel. I'm also being treated for hyperthyroidism that can interfere with T levels. In seeing all these NPs offering TRT it tells me there must be a lot of lousy doctors out there . PCP doctors might just go by total T but any decent Endo should know what tests to run and how to treat it.
