I am a bus operator in NYC. Under no circumstances would I be okay with Waymo in NYC, or anything driverless for that matter. Humans already have a difficult enough time driving in NYC, and driverless cars just exacerbate that issue. Also, San Francisco traffic and NYC traffic can’t be compared to each other at all, doing so is incredibly stupid

It’s because of the taxi medallions and the fact that so many taxi drivers are paying for the medallion loans out of pocket and would all go bankrupt if Waymo came in

Waymo is trying a London launch i seen them testing im sorry but they CAN NOT handle London the roads and the culture of London is too abstract for waymo to operate safely i think but its going ahead as normal there has already been many incidents with them
