It was bright, genuine, and he was so incredibly kind from the moment I walked up to the table. I told him that I had actually known him before Teen Wolf, apparently. That he was in my favorite MCR music video "I Don't Love You." He told me that was actually his first acting role. He shared a story about how they filmed it in black and white and yet had still painted him black for the effect, which later led to people mistakenly thinking he had been doing blackface when he was simply playing a role for the video. We ended up talking about his Instagram posts, modeling work, and Pilates. I told him how much I enjoyed seeing him prioritize his health and wellness, and how much I appreciated Jackson's character arc. Watching Jackson evolve over the years and ultimately become more comfortable in his own skin was one of my favorite parts of his journey. What really stuck with me, though, was hearing Haynes talk about himself. He mentioned that he's been sober for eight years and is focused on taking care of himself. There was something really admirable about how open and honest he was about that. Him being a gym goer now, I asked him if he did actually like going to the gym. "Who actually likes going to the gym?" he joked. But then he followed it up by saying he likes the results, and that's what keeps him going. Kinda Relatable. 😂 He also trusted me with a small piece of information that I promised I wouldn't repeat, and a promise is a promise. 🤐 What I can say is the interaction I had with him felt genuine. He was warm, funny, thoughtful, and incredibly gracious with his time. And for anyone wondering, yes, he gives fantastic hugs too. 🫶🏻 OH and later went back with a friend and he was doing a live on tiktok and we were in it a couple seconds, just saying hi. 😅 That was a surprise because it hadn't clicked until after the fact... #TeenWolf #ColtonHaynes #JacksonWhittemore #nostalgicon #nostalgiacon2026
